About Bronwen

Nearly all of my compositional work is collaborative, for either film or theatre. I grew up in a theatre. I learned piano from my mum as a five year old and then took up the clarinet at ten. By eighteen I was working professionally as a clarinetist with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and the South Australian Opera Company. Living in NYC for fifteen years I performed with several new music ensembles and wrote music for the Duo Theatre on East 4th street. Moving to Los Angeles, I took up a film music career, initially under the mentorship of Alex Wurman, and later to work with Reihnold Heil, Johnny Klimek and Alan Lazar.

A personal favorite highlight of my career was orchestrating and conducting "The Princess and the Warrior" score at Paramount Studios while pregnant with my son, Baxter. Other recognitions include an Emmy for the documentary series "Your Turn to Care" and Emmy nominations for "Sisters of Selma" and "No Mas Bebes."
